President Rodrigo Duterte has joined several world dignitaries to attend the golden jubilee celebration of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s accession to the throne at the Istana Nurul Iman in Brunei Darussalam on Friday.
Duterte flew to Brunei to “rub elbows” with other dignitaries attending the grand celebration.
Attendees include Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hammad Al Khalifa, United Kingdom’s Prince Edward and Princess Sophie, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o cha, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Laotian Vice President Phankham Viphavanh, Myanmar’s Foreign Minister Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Vietnamese Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, and Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister Sayyid Asaad bin Tarizq al-Said. /jpv
