A Filipina helper was rescued after she fell into a deep well in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday.

According to Gulf News, emergency workers rappelled down the 15-meter-deep well after a house owner heard the 48-year-old Filipina howling at 7:50 pm. The woman, who was identified by her initials LJ, was safely rescued. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The  house owner was called by authorities for interrogation. How the helper fell into the deep well, however, still remained a mystery. Because of the incident, concerned authorities of Ras Al Khaimah reminded residents to cover all their deep wells.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra/rga
