A young Filipino artist showed off his art and environmental advocacy at the 2nd Ulaanbaatar International Media Art Festival in Mongolia over the weekend.
Cebu-based Francis Sollano is the first Filipino to have been invited to exhibit his work at the festival, which kicked off on June 9 at the National Art Gallery of Mongolia.

Sollano told INQUIRER.net that he is the youngest among the international artists participating in the event.

His installation, titled “Traces of Anthropocene or Life?” features a five-meter installation created from hundreds of plastic bottles and is made to look like coral tubules.

Sollano said his work shows how marine life is suffering because of “human traces” or trash.
The 30-year old artist had in the past used recycled materials to create dresses and participate in international fashion and art festivals
