The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said it is watching the developments in central London after a terrorist attack that led to several casualties.

In a statement, it said the Philippine Embassy in London is monitoring the situation and is on the lookout for possible Filipino casualties.

“Our Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is in touch with the Filipino community in the area to ascertain whether any Filipino is among the casualties,” it added.

So far, no information is available on the identities and nationalities of the victims.

At least one was reported killed and 20 were injured in the attacks on Saturday night, as foreign media reported of stabbing and a van plowing into several people.

The attack comes nearly two weeks after at least 20 people died in a suicide bombing at pop star Ariana Grande’s concert in Manchester.
