The Department of Foreign Affairs on Thursday said no Filipinos were affected by a terror attack that killed around 90 people in Kabul, Afghanistan.

“The Philippine Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, which holds jurisdiction over Afghanistan, reported all Filipinos in that country safe following a bomb blast in Kabul on Wednesday morning,” it said in a statement. “This is according to the Area Coordinator of the Filipino Community in Kabul, whom the Embassy contacted as soon as it learned of the incident.”
The DFA said the embassy continues to monitor the situation.
News reports said a truck bomb ripped through Kabul’s diplomatic quarter and killed at least 90 people. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which also left hundreds of people injured.
Among those killed were personnel of foreign embassies.
