MANILA, Philippines—Former Philippine Ports Authority general manager Alfonso Cusi left the country around midnight Wednesday, several hours after he appeared at the Senate hearing into the alleged cheating in the 2004 and 2007 elections.
According to Connie Bungag, chief of the Manila International Airport Authority’s public affairs office, Cusi left for Dubai shortly after midnight via Emirates flight EK 335.
Cusi was with around seven companions, said to be his business partners, Bungag said.
“He left for a business meeting and will be back after two weeks,” she added.
