Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday left for Japan to join Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at an international summit “to accelerate women’s progress worldwide” to be held in Tokyo.
Robredo and Agriculture Undersecretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat are among the 19 female government leaders at the three-day Global Summit for Women, where more than a thousand women from the public and private sectors are expected.
The summit’s theme for this year is “Beyond Womenomics: Accelerating Access.”—NIKKO DIZON
