The United Kingdom Embassy has announced that it will be closed to the public on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, April 13 and 14, in observance of the Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are regular holidays in the predominantly Catholic Philippines, while Black Saturday, April 15, is a special nonworking holiday.
The embassy’s regular operations will resume on Tuesday, April 18.
Meanwhile, the emergency consular services of the embassy will also be available 24/7, and the public may consult by calling its hotline 858-2200.
Some local government units and courts have announced half-day work for Holy Wednesday to give way to the exodus to provinces.
