China has pledged to help build another mega drug rehabilitation center in the country, President Rodrigo Duterte said early Saturday.
He said that China plans to build the new rehab center next month to support the administration’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
He explained that to wean drug users away from using illegal drugs, they should be enrolled in rehabilitation centers
In a Radyo Inquirer report, Duterte called the Chinese as people with “golden hearts” for supporting him and offering assistance on his campaign.
A Chinese tycoon funded a 12-hectare drug rehab facility at Fort Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija opened in November. It can accommodate up to 10,000 drug dependents.
