“Evangeline “Vangie” Canonizado Buell, community activist and the author of Twenty-Five Chickens and a Pig for a Bride: Growing Up in a Filipino Immigrant Family, will speak about her life and her book, which weaves a frank and inspiring memoir that both enlightens and moves readers.”
Her appearance is part of the Asian American Speaker Program at our library, and is in celebration of Filipino American History Month. Copies of her books will be available for sales and signing.
