The Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan is the sole nominee from the Philippines in the worldwide search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature, which is led by Canadian-Swiss Bernard Weber.

The campaign started in 2007. The Palawan Underground River made it to the Top 77 in the following round, and in July 2009, it made the list of the final 28 sites, after competing with more than 400 nominees from over 200 countries in an Internet-based voting.

Online voters may register at www.new7wonders.com. Only one vote is allowed for each registered e-mail address.
