President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday vowed to join the world in its fight against terrorism amid the violent attack in France that killed close to 100 people.
“Rest assured that we join you in your fight against terrorism,” Duterte said in an interview with state-run television in Davao City.
On Friday, at least 80 people were killed after a truck loaded with guns slammed into revelers watching a fireworks display for Bastille Day celebration in Nice.

He said the Philippine government joins the world in grieving for the violent attack.
“I would like to take this opportunity to make a public statement, to say that we share the grief of France in the rampage of multiple murders of their citizens,” he said.
