Filipino nurse in UK sued over failed blood transfusion–report
A Filipino nurse in London is being accused of killing her patient after supposedly giving the wrong blood type in a transfusion that caused a “fatal reaction.”
UK news site Express reported that 48-year-old Lea Ledesma was charged with manslaughter for the death of Ali Huseyin in May 2014.
The report said Ledesma denied manslaughter through negligence during a hearing in Southwark Crown Court.
Ledesma, who resides in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was granted unconditional bail until the trial in July. YG/RC
