SAN FRANCISCO–Veteran Filipino American broadcaster Max Cacas, who was well known in public and commercial radio in Washington, D.C., died suddenly of a possible heart attack Tuesday, December 8. His wife, Lisa Myers, reported his passing at 61 in a Facebook post.
Cacas was a news producer and operations manager at National Public Radio (NPR) for 10 years, from 1985–95. He also worked in various capacities in radio and journalism throughout the Washington area, most recently as a host and producer for a radio program produced by AFCEA International.
