Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Manila next week.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kang confirmed Xi’s attendance to the Apec summit through the official website of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“At the invitation of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III of the Republic of the Philippines, President Xi Jinping will attend the 23rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Manila, the Philippines from November 17 to 19,” Lu said.

Before going to the Philippines, Lu said Xi will attend the 10th G20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey.
More than a dozen heads of states are expected to arrive in Manila next week for the international economic forum, including United States Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
