SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, California–John Claude Gummoe, founder and lead singer of the classic and pop group, The Cascades,” will perform at this year’s induction ceremonies of the Hall of Fame – Class of 2015, the nonprofit Filipino Band Musician’s Hall of Fame Foundation® (FILHOFF) announced.

Gummoe will be supported by veteran Filipino musicians and singers in a concert on November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the world-class Mills Amphitheatre at 400 Murchison Drive, Millbrae, California.

The ensemble has attracted standing room only audiences at recent performances in Southern California. This will be their first visit to the Bay Area after more than 40 years.

Their popular and classic hits, notably “Rhythm of the Rain,” “The Last Leaf,” “Shy Girl,” “Dreamin,” “My First Day Alone” and other touching songs captured the hearts of the Filipinos in the ‘60s and they have continued to appeal across generations.

Opening Acts for John Gummoe are “Elvis” (Lloyd Aron Douglas) and an “Everly Brothers” Tribute. Dancing on stage with music will be provided by We’re Back band starts at 2:00 p.m. followed by the induction ceremonies (see list below) and concert at 4 p.m.
