TORONTO, Ontario — The timing for the launch of Winter Escapade 3 on Saturday, September 12 at 3:30 p.m. could not have been better, with Toronto weather at an extremely crisp 11 degrees C, coupled with blustery winds.

In the seventh floor foyer of the Philippine Consulate General offices, colorful Philippine scenes flashed on a screen, alternating with movie clips of Yonge Street buffeted by a blizzard in the dead of winter.  Stark contrast indeed.

And the invited guests were more than ready to feast their eyes on gorgeous beaches, tables laden with food and the prospect of being pampered for ten days, February 3-12, 2016, in choice Philippine resorts.

Consul General Rosalita Prospero presented the highlights of the ten days/nine nights package offered to visitors who wish to join the cavalcade of delights.

With hints of the coming chill starting to Canada, there’s a lot of buzz for Winter Escapade 3.

Visitors will experience a wreath laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument, a Malacanang Museum tour, tour of Mayon Volcano, Legazpi City and Tabaco City, and a luxury island getaway at Misibis Bay Resort (formerly known as Amanpulo, the tropical playground of Hollywood stars).

There will be tours of Puerto Princesa city and the Underground River, island hopping in Palawan (Starfish Island, Luli Island, Pandan Island, and Pambato Reef).  Visitors will also have a choice of tours–Naga City, Sorsogon, Camalig and Busay Falls, and a handicrafts and culinary fusion tour.

The basic package starts from C$1550 per person for the domestic portion of the tour.  Travelers will have to purchase their round trip flights to the Philippines from their Canadian ports separately.

A deposit of $300 per person is due at registration.  Registration closes on November 2, 2015.  Thereafter, booking will be subject to room availability and best quoted hotel/domestic airline fares.  Full payment deadline is on November 6, 2015.
