WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Town Hall meeting to gather Filipino American community leaders from across the country for networking and exchanging ideas on how to mobilize the community and increase its electoral clout has been set here in the nation’s capital.
KAYA: Filipino Americans for Progress is hosting its third annual Filipino American National Town Hall on Friday, October 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC) – 1628 16th St. NW, Washington.
Topics to be discussed include efforts to recognize Filipino WWII veterans, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), comprehensive immigration reform and strategies on how to mobilize the community for the coming 2016 presidential elections.
