WASHINGTON, D.C. — Effective Monday, September 14, 2015, the Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. will begin implementing an appointment system for applicants of various consular services, including passport renewals, notarial services and civil registration.
The appointment system will allow applicants to avoid long queues and to complete their transactions within a predetermined period. Walk-ins will still be entertained on a first come-first serve basis.
Requests for appointment should be sent to consularapp@gmail.com. In the request, kindly indicate in the subject line the applicant’s family name, type of transaction, and preferred date for processing in the following format: (SURNAME), (type of transaction), (mm.dd.yyyy). For example, AQUINO, passport renewal, 09.14.2015. In case of multiple transactions, please provide details in the body of the email.

Applicants are reminded to come at their appointed time with complete documentation. Those who arrive late for their appointments would have to transact along with other walk-in applicants on a first come- first serve basis.Applicants will receive a confirmation email with the exact time of the appointment (10 minutes blocked time for authentication and civil registration; 15 minutes blocked time for passport applications) and the corresponding list of requirements. Said confirmation should be presented at the counter upon arrival.
Civil registration and notarial applications can be released to the applicant in the afternoon of the same day (5 p.m. for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday transactions and 3 p.m. for Wednesday and Friday transactions).
