SAN FRANCISCO — An exclusive pre-release screening of the film “Heneral Luna” by Jerrold Tarog will take place on Monday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Marina Theater, 2149 Chestnut Street.
“Heneral Luna,” about the fascinating and tragic historical figure, Gen. Antonio Luna, will not be released in the Philippines until September 9 and commercially in the U.S. until October.
The screening is a fund-raising event for the Third Filipino American International Book Festival happening on October 2-4.
It is presented by PAWA/FilBookFest, FACINE, Arkipelago Books, The Hinabi Project, Carayan Press, Filipino American National Historical Society-San Francisco.

The movie was recently screened and well-received in New York at the Asian American International Film Festival.
Tickets are $20 and $15 for students and senior citizens (55 years and up).
