American found dead inside deep well in Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY – An American was found dead inside a deep well near his house at Villa Emmanuel, Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental at about 8:05 p.m. Sunday while his wife was still missing as of Monday.
The Murcia police identified the victim as Kevin Fleischauer, 58.
A friend of the couple who asked not to be identified said the couple who were into organic farming had not been seen for about two weeks so on Sunday friends from church went to see how they were. They found their house in disarray and the couple nowhere in sight, prompting them to call the police.
At about 5:40 p.m. Sunday the Murcia police led by their OIC Senior Inspector Lawrence Gerald Bathan went to the Fleischauer residence and when they arrived, members of the Open Door Baptist Church led by Pastor Nelson Cunanap were already there looking for Kevin and his wife Lolly Mangilaya Fleischauer, 60.
The police officers examined the couple’s residence and they noted that the main door was damaged and the main bedroom door was already open but they could not find the couple, while their Toyota Adventure service vehicle was still parked on the property, a police report said.
A thorough search within the compound was made by the Murcia Police and members of Open Door Baptist Church, and at about 8:05 p.m. the pastor and other church members discovered the cadaver of Kevin in a state of decomposition inside the deep well about 20 feet deep and about 30 meters away from couple’s residence, the report said.
