PDEA gets P2.7M in aid

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has received P2.7-million worth of equipment and vehicles from the Asia-Pacific Information and Coordination Center (APICC) for Combating Drug Crimes to help in the local anti-narcotics drive.

APICC Secretary General Park Jae-Uck recently visited the country as part of the advocacy of South Korea’s Supreme Prosecutor’s Office.

“We greatly appreciate APICC’s generosity… We strongly believe that part of building a drug-free region entails strong international cooperation with our neighbors in the Asia-Pacific,” said PDEA Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr.

The donation included surveillance kits, laptops, air conditioners, cameras, external hard drives, digital voice recorders, computers and motorcycles.–Julie M. Aurelio
