Fire hits mayor’s gasoline station

A FIRE hit the stockroom of the Petron gasoline station owned by Compostela mayor elect Joel Quiño in Poblacion, Compostela town at 6 p.m yesterday.

PO1 Jane Monteseno, desk officer of the Compostela police, said the fire which was reported at 6:01 p.m. hit the stockroom of Quiño’s gasoline station.

A radio report said fire trucks from the neighboring city of Danao and Carmen town put out the fire.

It was unclear last night why no Compostela fire truck responded to the fire alarm.
