Over P1-M worth of shabu seized at NAIA warehouse

AUTHORITIES seized more than P1-million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported Tuesday.

Joint operatives of the Bureau of Customs and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said they confiscated three parcels of shabu at a warehouse at NAIA that were concealed in a diaper, rice cooker and a wooden frame.

The report said the illegal drugs were bound for Saudi Arabia, Guam and United Kingdom.

However, details of the parcel’s recipients and the sender have not been disclosed so as not to jeopardize the ongoing investigation. Nestor Corrales with a report from Radyo Inquirer
