Veloso family arrives from Indonesia, thanks public for support
The family of Mary Jane Veloso returned to Manila from Indonesia on Friday morning, Radyo Inquirer 990AM has reported.
The report said 11 members of the Veloso family arrived around 6 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) onboard Philippine Airlines flight PR 536.
The family returned to the country a couple of days after Mary Jane received a last-minute reprieve from the Indonesian government, which sentenced her to death for drug trafficking.

Her father Cesar, who was interviewed by Radyo Inquirer, said they will first visit the office of migrant workers group Migrante before heading back to Nueva Ecija.
“Of course we are very happy that my daughter’s [execution] did not push through,” he said in Filipino. “The children were jumping for joy. We are truly happy.”
He also thanked the public for supporting his daughter.
“I have a message to our fellow Filipinos and those from around the world who helped my daughter: Thank you very much. I hope you continue to support and pray for us so my daughter could finally go home.” KS
