“This is the power of prayer at work,” Vice President Jejomar Binay said on Wednesday after Filipina Mary Jane Veloso got a temporary reprieve from Indonesian government minutes after her scheduled execution.

Dagdagan pa po natin ang ating panalangin na maisalba natin siya sa kamatayan,” Binay, who is also presidential adviser on OFW (overseas Filipino workers) affairs, said in a statement.
(Let us not stop from praying for Mary Jane. We should pray harder so that she may be completely spared from death.)
Veloso, who was sentenced to death for drug trafficking, was spared after a woman who allegedly recruited her to act as a drug courier surrendered to police Tuesday.

“As we continue with our efforts to save Mary Jane, I once again appeal to our kababayans to be mindful of their belongings and refrain from carrying luggage other than their own when traveling in another country,” the Vice President said.
(Lives are at stake here, and no amount of money will replace your lives. Please do not fall victims to these syndicates or trust people who ask you to bring bags which do not belong to you.)
Binay then called on those seeking jobs abroad to go through the legal processes.
(Please go through the correct and legal process. This is for your own welfare.) IDL
