Filipino helper in Saudi retrieves hacked email, impresses boss

A Filipino domestic helper in Saudi Arabia earned the praise of her employer after she was able to recover his hacked email account.

Saad Al-Shammari, who is from the town of Rafha, had given up on recovering his email account when his Filipino helper offered to help.

Citing a report from Alarabiya.net, Arab News said Al-Shammari and his family did not believe their helper at first but were pleasantly surprised when she was able to solve the problem.

The report said the unnamed overseas Filipino worker retrieved the account in five minutes after Al-Shammari handed over his computer.

She has been working for his family for more than two years.

The woman told her employer that she used to work in a computer shop in the Philippines. Her previous employer taught her about hacking.

The report said she was forced to work abroad due to economic reasons. KS
