HONOLULU — Some of the Philippines’ leading cinematic voices will headline this year’s Filipino Film Festival, April 18-28, at the Honolulu Museum of Art, sponsored by the Consuelo Foundation, Vertaccount and ABC Stores.

The film selection includes standout romantic comedies, the world’s first T’boli-language feature film and the definitive documentary on boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Opening-night reception on April 18 at 6-7:30 p.m. features New York-based chef Yana Gilbuena, who is cooking Filipino pop-up dinners in 50 states as part of her Salo Project. Gilbuena’s Salo Project pop-up dinner features the flavors of the regions of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Plus no-host bar. The gastronomic romantic comedy Namets! (Yummy!) screens at 7:30 p.m. Ticket for opening-night reception, dinner and film is $35 * $30 MM.
