MANILA, Philippines—Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, the Princess Royal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has visited the Philippines in connection with her charity and various humanitarian works.
Princess Anne arrived in the country on Tuesday and paid a courtesy call to President Benigno Aquino III at the Malacañang Palace.
On Wednesday, she visited communities in Leyte that were severely affected by Supertyphoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan).
Princess Anne, the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth, first visited the Philippines in March 1999.
She is the president of Save the Children rights group in the United Kingdom.
She left the country on Thursday, March 19.
