SAN FRANCISCO — The American Center of Philippine Arts will celebrate six years of its Student Enriched in Education and Dance (SEED) program to strengthen Filipino community and ethnic identity through this performing arts program.
The gala will be in Fort McKinley restaurant in South San Francisco on Saturday, February 28 at 6:00pm.
The event will highlight the accomplishments of ACPA’s SEED Youth Program in the last six years including its new Philippine Rondalla music classes and workshops, ongoing classes in Oakland and Brentwood and affiliations with institutions such as University of San Francisco and University of California, Davis.
The evening will also feature a few collaborations with other arts organizations and individual artists who share similar mission and vision as ACPA and support new and exciting projects led by ACPA’s Artistic Director and Choreographer, Jay Loyola.
The sixth year celebration will highlight performances by the youth of ACPA’s SEED program and feature Filipino American DJ Katrina B of SF Bay Area’s WiLD 94.9, Hawaiian Grammy Award-Winning slack key guitar player Patrick Landeza and other local San Francisco Bay Area artists’ pieces for a silent auction along with raffle drawings. The organization will be giving away the following:

Dinner and drinks will be served and there will be a lot of dancing. All proceeds benefit ACPA’s Students Enriched in Education & Dance (S.E.E.D.) Youth Program
