CALAMBA BUY-BUST
THE newly formed Multi-Agency Anti-Drug Task Force scored again after it arrested a suspected drug runner in a buy-bust operation in barangay Calamba, Cebu City last Thursday afternoon.
Police said suspect Jessie Nabua is the alleged drug runner of Bienvenido Baldesola.
Members of the task force composed of agents of the Criminal Intelligence Bureau(CIB) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) transacted with Baldesola and Nabua.
Police said Baldesola handed a pack of shabu to a poseur-buyer but sensed the presence of the police.
Police collared Nabua while Baldesola ran home.
Police said Baldesola locked the door of his house before he jumped from a window and fled.
Police said three small packs and a big pack of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money were recovered from Nubua’s possession.
Last Wednesday night, the task force also arrested eight persons who were allegedly caught using shabu in Calamba. A woman was also arrested in barangay Camputhaw after packs of shabu were found in her house./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
DEAD MAN IN NAGA
THE body of an unidentified man was found in barangay Inayagan, Naga City, southern Cebu, early morning yesterday.
Police said the man had a gunshot wound in the face.
An empty shell of a .9mm pistol was recovered near the man’s body.
