NBI arrests 6 Chinese nationals in drug lab raid

MANILA, Philippines—The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday arrested six Chinese nationals in a raid at a drug laboratory in Tarlac where some P3-billion worth of illegal drugs and chemicals were confiscated.

NBI Deputy Director for Investigative Services Ricardo Pangan said also confiscated are tools and six machines used in making shabu.

It is located on Bonifacio Street in the town of Camiling.

FEATURED STORIES

The shabu laboratory, which only started operations some 20 days ago, was believed to be manufacturing more than 100 kilos of shabu daily.

The raid was pursuant to a search warrant by the Manila Regional Trial Court.

The shabu laboratory was previously a farmers multi-purpose cooperative.
