Job fair for veterans, students set at San Bruno, California college

SAN BRUNO, CALIFORNIA A job fair offering employment opportunities to veterans, their family members, students and local community members will be held on Wednesday, November 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Dining Hall at the Skyline College campus, Building 6, 3300 College Drive, San Bruno.

The Veteran’s Community Resource and Job Fair, hosted by The Skyline College Veterans Resource Center and Career Services Center with California’s Employment Development Department (EDD), is open to the general public.

The event will connect jobseekers with employers from around the San Francisco Bay Area who are currently hiring. Additionally, select programs at Skyline College will be onsite to provide attendees with information regarding their services.

“This collaboration is a prime example of the ways that our campus and the local community are coming together to address the needs of our service men and women who have returned home,” said Jorge Murillo, interim program services soordinator for the Veterans Resource Center at Skyline College.  “We all hope that it’s taken advantage of so we can continue to do this kind of work.”

 

More than 30 employers from around the Bay Area and service providers from San Francisco and San Mateo County will be in attendance, including the following confirmed organizations:
