Korean arrested after selling marijuana to PDEA agent

MANILA, Philippines—Anti-narcotics agents arrested a 20-year-old Korean national for selling a sachet of marijuana in San Francisco City, La Union province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Thursday.

Kim Sang Su ‎of San Francisco, San Fernando City was seized by PDEA agents and La Union police after he sold dried marijuana leaves in a plastic sachet to an undercover agent on Monday.

Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr., PDEA director general, said in a statement on Monday that the operatives used a P1,000-bill as marked money during the buy-bust operation.

Aside from the marijuana pack, a rolled paper containing the banned plant was confiscated from Kim.

Cacdac said Kim would be facing charges for violating ‎sale of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
