MANILA, Philippines—Anti-narcotics agents arrested a 20-year-old Korean national for selling a sachet of marijuana in San Francisco City, La Union province, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Thursday.
Kim Sang Su of San Francisco, San Fernando City was seized by PDEA agents and La Union police after he sold dried marijuana leaves in a plastic sachet to an undercover agent on Monday.
Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr., PDEA director general, said in a statement on Monday that the operatives used a P1,000-bill as marked money during the buy-bust operation.
Aside from the marijuana pack, a rolled paper containing the banned plant was confiscated from Kim.
Cacdac said Kim would be facing charges for violating sale of dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
