Filipino teacher in US in hot water for saying ‘N’ word

MANILA, Philippines—A Filipino teacher in the United States has been placed under administrative leave after she allegedly used a racial slur in her classroom.

According to a report by the San Bernardo Sun, the teacher identified as Bernadette Yuson, a math teacher at the Cajon High School, used inappropriate language to refer to her African-American students during her class.

The report said Yuson was rearranging the students’ seats when an African-American student asked why she was separating the black students.

“How come you’re moving all the black people around?’” the student asked.

Yuson allegedly replied saying, “Because I want to move all the n—–.”

The student sprang out of his seat and reported the incident to the school administration.

“Go ahead and tell them,’” Yuson reportedly said the student. “‘I’ve got a lawyer and pay him every month,” she added.

Reports said the school administration after an investigation placed the teacher under administrative leave.
