MANILA, Philippines—A 25 year-old Filipino was killed Sunday by armed men after he was shot outside their home in Tracy, California, according to reports.
Tracy police responded at 1:20 a.m. and found an unconscious Darell Alviar Esguerra.
The Esguerra family was hosting a birthday party when armed men fired 20 shots into the family’s home, according to witnesses.
A bullet hit the back of his head, knocking Esguerra unconscious. He was rushed to the San Joaquin Hospital but died two hours later.
The suspects were still at large as the Tracy City police do not have anyone in custody as of press time.
The Book of Dreams online campaign on Facebook called “In Loving Memory of Darell Alviar Esguerra” where a brand new DS pair of size10 BHM Jordan Spizike shoes is being auctioned. The campaign aims to assist the Esguerra family financially and to raise awareness in the community.
Another online fundraising campaign for Darell was put up on giveforward.com. The campaign aims to raise $15,000.
