MANILA, Philippines — There are no Filipino casualties in the onslaught Hurricane Irene, which slammed the United States East Coast over the weekend, a 990AM report said on Monday, quoting Philippine Ambassador to Washington in the United States Jose Cuisia Jr.
He said they have not received any reports about Filipinos that were killed or injured from the storm that forced an unprecedented evacuation in the affected areas, the radio report said.
But the Philippine embassy continues to advise Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to be cautious and monitor the developments of the hurricane, the radio report also said. Frances Mangosing, INQUIRER.net
