16th Paaralan sa Konsulado for Fil-Am kids starts in New York

NEW YORK, New York – Paaralan sa Konsulado, a summer workshop to give Filipino American children aged 6 to 16 a better understanding of their heritage and culture will run for five Saturdays — June 28, July 12, 19, 26 and Aug. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Philippine Consulate.

The workshop, now on its 16^th year, teaches participants Filipino values, history, arts, songs, dances, games, customs, customs and conversational Filipino. It is sponsored by the Philippine Consulate General of New York and the Association of Fil-Am Teachers of America (AFTA), which is celebrating its 25^th year.
