PORTLAND, Oregon — A seven-member team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco provided consular services in missions to Roseburg and Portland, Oregon, on May 24 and 25.
The two-day outreach missions extended various consular services such as passport, civil registry, legalization and notarial, dual citizenship services as well Overseas Voter Registration.
Coordinating with the Philippine Honorary Consulate General’s office in Portland, the consular outreach missions were hosted in Roseburg by the Douglas County Filipino-American Association. In Portland, it was hosted by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon and Oregon Association of Minority Entrepeneurs (venue).
This is the 5th Consular Outreach Mission conducted by the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco in the Pacific Northwest since January this year. After California, the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington have the largest concentrations of Filipinos among the Consulate’s 10-state jurisdiction. There are 15,861 Filipinos (residents of Filipino heritage) in Oregon according to 2010 US Census figures.
