Chinese woman, daughter abducted in Basilan

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Two Chinese nationals were abducted in Isabela City in Basilan Thursday night, police said Friday.

Senior Supt. Albert Larubis, Isabela City Police director, identified the victims as Dina Lim Iraham, 45, and her daughter, Yahong Lim Tan, 19.

The kidnappers, who wore camouflage uniforms, went inside a videoke bar reportedly owned by Iraham and snatched them at gunpoint past 9 p.m.

Larubis said Iraham had remained a Chinese citizen despite marrying a local 10 years ago.
