MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs will now process 500 more passport applications per day in a bid to curb the pressing issue of passport delays.

The DFA Office of Consular Affairs said the 500 new appointment slots will be on top of the 4,500 daily appointments for passport applications.

On Saturdays, 1,500 passport applications will be processed at the DFA-OCA from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the DFA said.
