MANILA, Philippines – United States President Barack Obama’s date of visit to the Philippines has been confirmed to be on April 28-29.
Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Cuisia made the announcement Friday during the Joint Membership Meeting of the Makati Business Club and Management Association of the Philippines.
The agenda for Obama’s visit were not yet finalized, he told reporters in an interview.
Cuisia said Obama’s visit will reaffirm the strong historic and people to people relations of both countries.
The Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement, which held its eight round of negotiations on April 10 and 11, will likely be discussed as well if it is concluded before Obama’s visit.
