No Filipinos hurt in Chile quake—DFA

MANILA, Philippines—No Filipinos were hurt in the 8.2 magnitude earthquake that struck off the north coast of Chile early Wednesday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.

“No report of Pinoys affected,” DFA spokesperson Charles Jose told INQUIRER.net
Five people were crushed to death or suffered fatal heart attacks while tsunami warnings were issued for northernmost Chile.
