The PMSNC has been an active partner of the community for the past 27 years. Its community involvements include a Scholarship Award Program which recognizes deserving Filipino American medical students, and an outreach program that provides medical services, including flu vaccinations, to the elderly and other minorities in the Bay Area.
Overseas, the PMSNC’s members and volunteers have gone to the Philippines every January to hold medical missions and provide much-needed medical/surgical, optometry and dental services to the underserved population in the homeland.
Last year, in the face of the devastation laid by Typhoon “Haiyan/Yolanda” in southern Philippines, the PMSNC made a substantial donation to victims of the calamity, especially those in areas which were not as publicized or reported.
