MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government has already requested an Interpol blue notice to expedite the search for dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
In a press conference at the Department of Justice on Friday, Justice Undersecretary Jesse Andres said, “Right now, we requested a blue notice, which will now obligate the other receiving countries to give us information on the whereabouts of a particular individual.”

“As soon as this case is completed with respect to preliminary investigation at maisampa ang kaso sa korte (and the case is filed in court), we will proceed to the next stage, which is a red notice,” he added.
An Interpol red notice seeks the arrest or extradition of a suspect; a blue notice, on the other hand, is issued to determine the location of a person.
Where is Alice Guo now?
Meanwhile, Justice Undersecretary Nicholas Felix Ty said that Guo is still in Jakarta, Indonesia, based on their latest information.
“Wala namang nagbago sa kaalaman namin; ang huling ulat ng Bureau of Immigration sa amin ay nasa Jakarta siya. At sa ngayon ay wala namang pagbabago, may mga tao naman tayo doon na nakikipag-ugnayan sa immigration ng Indonesia,” he said.
(There has been no change in our knowledge; the last report we received from the Bureau of Immigration was that she is in Jakarta. As of now, there has been no change; we have people there who are coordinating with Indonesian immigration.)

Ty added that there were closed-circuit television photos indicating that Guo was somewhere in Jakarta.
On August 30, the Anti-Money Laundering Council, Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, and National Bureau of Investigation filed 87 counts of money laundering cases against Guo and 35 other people.
