Remains of 2 Filipino seafarers killed in Houthi attack arrive in PH

MANILA, Philippines — The remains of two Filipino seafarers of the MV True Confidence who were killed in a missile attack in the Gulf of Aden arrived in the country on Tuesday, according to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The two were among 15 Filipino crew members of the vessel, which had been the target of an attack by Houthi rebels on March 6.

The other 13 Filipinos have already arrived in the country; the first 11 arrived on March 12, while the two who were injured in the incident arrived on March 14.

The DMW said that together with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, it will provide assistance with the families of the deceased.

Aside from the two Filipinos, a Vietnamese national also died in the attack.
