EU hails PH’s leap from rehab to recovery

Primary and Elementary pupils gather outside their temporary school room tent near their school building destroyed by Supertyphoon Yolanda  in Barangay Cancueves, Mc Arthur, Eastern Samar. The school building is under repair project funded by UNICEF and  Action contre la Faim.

The European Union (EU) has commended the Philippines for its fast transition from emergency response to rehabilitation in communities ravaged by Supertyphoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan) a year ago.

Cash-for-work program set for farmers in areas hit by Typhoon ‘Pablo’


The provincial government of Davao Oriental and the World Food Program (WFP) have started briefing farmers on the cash-for-work program, in an effort to cover initially 800 hectares of rice farms in Cateel, Baganga and Boston municipalities.

UN World Food Program sends 3 tons of food aid to Mindanao
