China ready to help in rehab of Yolanda-hit areas

Slow down migration of evacuees to other places, gov’t urged

The government should slow down the exodus of evacuees from typhoon-devastated areas and instead strengthen the capabilities of the victims to resurrect their broken lives in their own hometowns.

There may still be millions of people in the Visayas who have yet to receive any assistance 10 days after Supertyphoon “Yolanda” swept across nine regions of the Philippines, the United Nations said on Monday.
