Lawmaker calls for new probe on death of Filipina in Dubai

A reinvestigation on the death of overseas Filipino worker Alona Bagayan must be conducted, after autopsy reports cast doubt on official findings from Dubai that she had committed suicide there by jumping from the fifth floor of a building, Akbayan partylist Rep. Walden Bello said on Tuesday.

Ramona no longer in Turkey, says NBI

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has received information that Ma. Ramona “Mara” Bautista, one of the two younger siblings of Ramgen Bautista suspected of plotting his October 28 murder, is not in Turkey.
NBI Interpol chief and lawyer Claro de Castro Jr. confirmed, on Tuesday, the receipt of the information from the Interpol Ankara that Bautista arrived in Turkey at 10:34 a.m. of November 5 but left the country later that day at around 4:51 pm.
