The Agimat Project, hoping to usher in a new phase in the development of Filipino art and culture, launched AGIMAT: Sining at Kulturang Pinoy Website at the Access Point Bar in Quezon City last July 31.
This website is designed as a directory and database of Filipino artists and source of information in support of their endeavors, to help promote our art and culture both in the Philippines and internationally.
The launch was kicked off by Anino Design with its partner organization, DAKILA, which defines itself as a ?Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism.?
Individual artists in Anino?s roster of supporters are the Brewrats Radio Deejay Tado, comedian and actor Gabe Mercado, comic artist Gerry Alanguilan, film maker Ato Bautista, musician Bayang Barrios, writer Pablo Gomez, poet Kooky Tuason and spoken word artist Miko Pepito.
Celebrating the launch were lively artistic performances by Juan Pablo Dream, Zelle, Electromomma, Datu?s Tribe, Stonefree, Miko Pepito, Matilda, Sopiz, Jeepney Joyride and Radioactive Sago Project.
